Post leap Devoleena gets a new look in Saath Nibhana Saathiya!

Gopi, the bahu undergoes a much welcome transition and comes in a fresh, new avatar as a teacher after the leap!

The much loved show Saath Nibhana Saathiya on Star Plus is all set to take a leap of six years. The shoot for the same has already started and the cast and crew are in Bhopal for the same.

It was the story which demanded the shoot to be in Bhopal where they are shooting at a school says our source, “According to the story which will go on further in the show, everybody wrongly assumes Gopi to be responsible for Meera’s death and holds her responsible for all that has happened. When the entire family turns against her she is upset and leaves the house and becomes a teacher. She is pregnant when she leaves the house and has a daughter whom she takes care of even as she works. They are currently shooting at The Sanskaar Valley School in Bhopal and Devoleena is having a gala time shooting with the kids.”

With her character becoming a teacher the post leap Gopi will be seen in a new avatar as well. “The makers wanted to give a fresh, new perspective to the show and hence the decision to take a leap and Gopi’s transformation happened. Devoleena will no longer be seen as the saree clad, shy Gopi bahu but will now take things in her own hands and will be seen as a strong woman who will write her own destiny. She will be seen in smart salwar kameez outfits mostly pastle in shade and her make up too will be kept simple,” adds our source.

The show will complete 1000 episodes on Jan 31st after which the leap will be shown. “The leap episode goes on air on 3rd Feb,” concludes our source.
