“I want to know more about direction and writing.” – Varun Khandelwal

Varun Khandelwal who was last seen doing a cameo in Zee TV’s Doli Armaanon Ki as Makhan has been out of action again. But this time, the actor is learning new things besides acting.

The actor says that he wants to learn something more than acting. He is very much interested in writing and direction, “I want to know more about direction and writing. I feel it’s a dream of every actor to know of what and how things work behind the camera. I’m doing the same though not too much in details.”

He is keen to learn more about script writing and direction, “I had been reading a lot these days about direction and script writing. I wish to do it in the later stage of my career. It’s been odd nine years for me in this industry and its very little time. I’m in talks with different producers for the show but haven’t finalized anything. Though I know in the future you may see me as a writer or a director too,” says Varun.

After his quick exit from the show Doli Armaanon Ki, Varun is on a break. So when asked him if he has plans to return to the show again or not? He says, “Well the producers have kept my role as an open track. They told me that my character was liked by the audience thus they are planning to get it back after the leap but when and how is yet to be finalized. So let’s see when it happens but simultaneously I’m looking for new projects as well.”

What kind of offers is Varun getting? “I once played a psychotic and I don’t know why I’m getting such offers only. May be they think I’m a good at being psycho (laughs). Also there are negative roles too which are coming my way but I’m comfortable with that. Even my dad says that we need to have Praan back on screen. So me playing baddy reminds him of the legend,” he concludes smilingly.
