Diya Aur Baati Hum 26th October 2012 Written Update

Suraj keeps the drama clothes in a suitcase and places it over the cupboard. As Sandhya enters the room, he pretends to be closing the cupboard. Sandhya wonders whom did Bhabho see and got frightened thinking Yamraj. Suraj pretends to not know anything. Chotu comes running and says him that he has enrolled their name for the Rangarang program. Suraj closes his mouth before he could speak anything else. Sandhya asks about it. Suraj sends Chotu to the shop. Sandhya asks him again and Suraj just tells Chotu was talking about the Rangarang program arranged in Hanuman Gali on behalf of Karva Chauth.

The next morning, all except Meena and Sandhya are present in the hall. Chathuri offers tea to Bhabhasa. Meena and Sandhya come there. They both take blessings from Bhabho who blesses them. Bhabhasa teases Bhabho saying he does not like to have tea and especially on this day, the tea tastes bad. All are smiling on his hint that he does not like to drink or eat as Bhabho is also fasting. Meena is worried of how to fast till evening and thinks she has to manage with the almonds that she has in the room. Bhabho sees her, understands and asks her why she is looking pale and Meena answers because of the yellow saree she is wearing. Bhabho asks her not to fast strictly and to eat something and Meena indirectly tells can she eat some dishes like halwa and Bhabho says she will prepare them. Chavvi mocks Meena and Bhabho taunts her and then asks her to clean her room which is messed up with Sandhya’s help. Chavvi refuses as she is also fasting and Suraj comes to her help. Chavvi praises Suraj. Chavvi then asks Suraj and Vikram what they are going to gift bhabhis. Bhabho taunts her again saying it is not an exchange program where the wife fasts for husband’s long life and husband has to gift in return. Bhabho asks both Meena and Sandhya to apply mehendi on their both hands. Meena says she will do it easily but how will Sandhya apply. Bhabho gives some simple tips to Sandhya on how to apply.

Sandhya is applying mehendi on her hands in her room. She has applied it to both hands. She gets some mehendi smeared on her abdomen and tries to wipe it but could not. Suraj comes to the room then and offers help and wipes it with a kerchief closing his eyes. Sandhya is smiling as he continuing to wipe even after it had been clean and tells him to stop. She remembers about the drama and asks him further about it. Suraj says it is like divulging the gift before it is being presented. Sandhya is confused and tells him she is talking about the drama and Suraj says he is talking about the gift and leaves. Sandhya is confused and then guesses whether the drama itself is the gift.

Evening, Chavvi, Bhabho and Mohit are ready for the program. Bhabho shouts for Bhabhasa and then tells them he was jumping around since morning for the program and now he is not ready yet. Mohit and Chavvi say he would not miss such programs and will reach there. Meena and Sandhya come there. Meena asks Bhabho how she is looking and Bhabho admires her saying “Padmavathi.” She then asks Sandhya whether Suraj is coming right from the shop and Sandhya nods. Bhabho then calls for Chathuri and Meena says she would reach there somehow. By then, announcement of the program starts and all leave.

All are seated and program host welcomes everyone and then he says the next program is a drama and is going to be performed by a famous person who made Pushkar’s name famous in foreign recently and asks people to guess.

Suraj is praying that his intention behind this program reach his family members and to be successful.

The host announces it is performed by Suraj Rathi. Bhabho is surprised. Daisa asks Bhabho why she did not inform before and Vikram says it is a surprise that’s why. Bhabho is not happy. Sandhya admires. Ankur comes on stage as narrator. Meena takes this opportunity to tell Bhabho that Suraj has informed his in-laws about the program and did not inform Bhabho. Vikram observing this and not liking Meena’s behavior.

Ankur gives a brief explanation about Satyavaan and Savithri. They show Suraj with his horse in the forest, then Savitri with her friends coming there, they see each other. Rathi family enjoying those scenes and clapping. Screen closes.

Narrator (Ankur) comes on stage and tells that the wedding was being planned when Narada Maharishi comes to Savitri’s parents to reveal an important matter. Screen opens and Narada reveals Savitri’s parents that Satyavaan’s lifeline is short and he will die soon. Savitri’s parents think of stopping the wedding but Savitri tells she has accepted Satyavaan as her husband mentally and she will face whatever is her fate. Screen closes.

Narrator (Ankur) says the wedding happened and they were living in the forest happily like diya aur baati and a year passed soon and the day Narada Maharishi mentioned has come. Screen opens. Yamraj (Bhabhasa) comes on screen with his gada and shouting “I am Yamraj” and circling the stage. Bhabho is shocked to see this and having flashback when she got scared seeing him in the storeroom. Others happy and laughing.

Precap: The crowd gets up thinking the drama has ended and Ankur stops them. He tells the drama has not ended here, there is something more of the story which only a few people know.
