Qatil Chehra – Part 2

Scene 1 – Court
Court session begins and Jaisawal wishes to click a photograph of KD. The judge asks him to continue, leaving his wishes aside. Jaisawal explains how Dr. Reza cheated KD and murdered another policeman. Media started calling KD and he was questioned regarding his laws. So he couldn’t tolerate and killed Dr. Reza. Jaisawal further admits he must have done the same if he were at his place.
He calls Ins. Dave in the witness box. He reveals that Dr. Reza called him and admitted he killed both the policemen. He further said that KD is going to kill him with a knife and screamed just after a moment as if KD stabbed him.
KD questions Dave is he sure Dr. Reza had called him! Dave replies that the number was of Dr. Reza. KD says decision can’t be made on the basis of a phone call and a call can be made by anyone. He further utters that Dr. Reza himself had called him there. Jaisawal agrees and asks him to admit he killed Reza. KD asks him did he tell him he’s going to kill Reza, or did he see him? Jaisawal brings some photographs and passes them to the judge. Those photos were of the time KD was trying to take out the knife. Jaisawal reveals that someone placed these photos in the police station mailbox.
KD explains the truth behind those photos and says he was taking the knife out and didn’t kill him. Jaisawal screams that these photos are the biggest proof against him. KD gets his statement and admits that these photos will prove him innocent. He further utters that according to Dr. Reza’s postmortem report, he was stabbed once through a knife. So if he’s trying to kill him, how come Reza’s blood is present on the knife! KD clarifies his point that he was trying to save Dr. Reza.
The judge agrees with KD’s point and asks the police to search the person who placed those photos in the mailbox.
Scene 2 – Lockup
In the lockup, Varun is present with KD and Dave enters. He tells KD that he’ll search the person soon and now he too thinks that police has been cheated in this case. He reveals that Reza’s phone call was bogus.

Scene 3 – Varun spots a look alike of Reza
Varun is at a garage and his bike is being repaired. He talks to his girlfriend while the mechanic continues his work. Varun turns around and is stunned to see the mechanic who’s identical to Dr. Reza. He asks his name and the mechanic tells him his name is Shankar. Varun calls Dave.

Scene 4 – Dave inquires the man
Dave beats Shankar in the lockup and accuses him in the murder of his policemen, Dr. Reza and trapping of KD Pathak. Shankar cries and pleads a lot. He continues saying that he didn’t do anything and doesn’t know any of the men. Dave checks whether he faced some kind of plastic surgery but doesn’t find any marks.

Scene 5 – Court
Court session begins. The mechanic repeats what he said to Dave about him being a poor mechanic Shankar. He asks why he is here. KD shows him a photograph of Dr. Reza and says he’s exactly identical to him. He asks Shankar where he was born to which Shankar replies he was born in Hyderabad. KD speaks that from the start he’s saying Dr. Reza didn’t kill anyone and someone has planned everything. He doubts Shankar was the one who killed the three men including Dr. Reza.
He asks Shankar where he was on 7th June, 4:00-5:00 PM. Shankar recalls and replies he was in Hyderabad, for a marriage ceremony. KD asks for a proof and Jaisawal shows him some photographs of the marriage. Later it’s revealed that he was in Hyderabad only, on 13th even, the day Jadhav got killed. KD then asks about 19th June, Shankar doesn’t reply and excuses he’s ashamed. Jaisawal says Shankar was in the lockup as he boarded a train without ticket. Shankar cries and pleads he’s innocent.
The judge gives his decision; KD and Shankar are set free. Police is advised not to arrest an innocent person. Shankar comes to congratulate KD, with his left hand. He admits he uses his right hand too. He moves outside singing a Gazal.

Scene 6 – KD’s office
KD, Dave and Varun are discussing the case in office. A doubt is arised that Shankar has a relation with Dr. Reza as he sang the same Gazal which Dr. Reza used to sing. Dave leaves the office after a while. KD thinks something regarding their birth place, Allahabad and Hyderabad and decides to find out the connection between those places.

Scene 7 – Dave attacked
A man moves towards Dave’s jeep. He gets inside and hides behind. Dave enters his jeep and the only the man hiding behind, who’s Shankar, folds his rope around Dave’s neck and applies pressure. Dave manages to escape and chases Shankar who quickly enters his garage. Dave too enters right after the moment and gets hold of him. Shankar acts as if nothing happened.

Scene 8 – KD gets to know the whole matter
Dave calls KD and tells him whatever happened. KD is shocked and then only Varun arrives. He hands over some papers to KD.

Scene 9 – KD meets Shankar
Shankar is singing a gazal in the lockup, KD enters. He talks about his interest in gazal’s. Shankar then tells him he didn’t attack Dave. KD swears he will prove him innocent in the court.

Scene 10 – Courtroom
In the court, KD asks Dave did he visit the address he has asked him to. Dave replies he sent a man there but nobody was found. KD utters the man must he searched as he’s very important for this case. A policeman arrives and tells Dave that Shankar escaped in the midst of the way.

Scene 11 – Shankar spots a man identical to him
Shankar is shown in his garage. He changes his shirt and wears a white one. He turns another side and his face turns shocked as he spots a man identical to him in a blue shirt. Dave arrives soon after and he too is taken aback at the present scenario. Both the men claim themselves as the real Shankar and accuse the other.

Scene 12 – Courtroom
Court session begins and they both are standing opposite to one another. Jaisawal wonders who the real one is. KD calls a doctor from Hyderabad’s Ajanta Hospital. He explains that he noticed the similarities between Dr. Reza and Shankar and saw their birth certificates. Both were born on the same day. He introduces the doctor as Dr. Vaddhmani and asks him to give am explanation of the matter.
Dr. Vaddhmani reveals that a rickshaw puller’s wife gave birth to three boys forty five years ago. The rickshaw puller told him he can’t afford more than a child. So he shifted two boys to different areas. One was adopted by Professor. Reza as his wife gave birth to a dead child and the second one was adopted by some other family. So the three brothers were brought up in three different families. KD utters that the hospital staff knew the truth and Vaddhmani clarifies he sealed the matter as he was well known in that hospital.

KD reveals that the third brother is Vidyut Ranaut and this whole plan is his brainchild. Both the men start arguing again and accuse each other. They both start disclosing their personal information to prove the other one Vidyut. This doesn’t work and KD interrupts. He says that Shankar is fond of Gazals. The one in white shirt agrees and sings one. This method doesn’t work and they argue again. KD then says that Shankar can write with both his hands. The man in white shirt writes his name with both his hands and the blue shirt guy does the same. Jaisawal gives an idea of DNA test. KD tells him that they both are brothers so DNA will match for sure.
KD notices the man in white shirt wearing a ring and says Shankar doesn’t wear a ring. The man in blue shirt jumps with joy and shows his fingers that lacked ring. KD says nobody can escape from his vision and offers him a handshake. The man shakes hand with his right hand and KD catches him. He holds his hand tight and reveals that he’s Vidyut Ranaut as Shankar doesn’t use his right hand to shake hands.

Vidyut Ranaut is exposed. He admits he made the entire plan and killed three men. He confesses that once he saw Dr. Reza on television and this led his mother reveal the biggest truth of his life. After that, he decided that he won’t let Reza reach other heights. So he killed both the policemen and later killed Reza to trap KD.
KD further speaks that Vidyut got to know about his second brother Shankar. Vidyut further adds that he was the one who attacked Dave, to trap Shankar. KD asks why he went to Shankar’s house and Vidyut replies he had gone to hide Dr. Reza’s watch, to increase his problems but Shankar and policemen came just after.
Shankar is set free and Vidyut Ranaut is arrested. Shankar thanks KD and shakes hands using his right hand this time.
